Stamp Duty calculator

Stamp duty is a land tax which is payable when you purchase a property or land in the UK.  

If you buy property and the purchase price is £125,000 or less, you don't pay any Stamp Duty Land Tax at all.  If it's more than £125,000 (£150,000 in certain ‘disadvantaged’ areas), you pay between one and four per cent of the whole purchase price.

From 1st January 2010, the starting threshold was reduced back to £125,000 from £175,000.
